Description:
Graupera 2 Qrt - 11" Ceramic Clay Tagine are ideal for 6-8 servings. Thanks to the conical shape of the lid which allows the condensation to circulate and avoids the ingredients drying out during cooking, These tagines offers gentle simmering for your meat, fish and vegetables. Cooking with terracotta is a privilege, part of a long tradition handed down from ancient times and resulting in a special, inimitable flavour in the food we cook.
These tagines are ideal for preparing authentic North African cuisine which is considered to be one of the healthiest and most delicious in the world. We have also found that the slow cooking translates well to classic dishes around the world such as roasts, Thai curries, stuffed vegetables with rice, and much, much more. The base can fit a whole chicken or a tagine stew for four people. Our 12" (30cm) Tagine can hold about 2.2 quarts.

Thanks to an extensive variety of glazes, all tagines made by Graupera resist direct ?re, microwaves, oven, vitroceramic, dishwasher and frozen.
Before Use - To season a new dish, we recommend adding about 1 inch of milk to cover the bottom of the dish. Let the milk simmer for five minutes. Remove the dish from heat and allow it to cool before cleaning. You can also simmer one quart of water with 1/2 cup of rice for five minutes instead of the milk.
Small cracks in the glaze - When heated, the Flame-top cookpot expands slightly. This phenomenon creates small, thin cracks in the glaze, which are especially visible on light colored cookware. These small cracks are not a flaw, but are proof that the Flame-top cookware is resistant to temperature change and is a sign of longevity.
