Staub Cast Iron
Cookware have perfected this tradition in a signature
“La Cocotte” French Oven, the choice of some of the world’s best chefs.
These Cast Iron French ovens’ have been designed by Francis Staub and are a
timeless standby for stews, roasts, soups and casseroles. The Staub Mussel Pots are great for seafood dishes.
The Staub Cocottes can be used in an oven, where it requires significantly less
heat than any other cookware, as cast iron spreads the heat evenly as well as
retaining it. It also benefits from a special, smooth, ceramic underside, so it
can also be used on any hob or stove top which can take temperatures of up to
500°F - 260°C. These attractive Staub dishes move beautifully from the stove to
the table, and will even retain the heat and moisture, due to a
tight fitting on the lid, to keep your food warm at the table. Made in France
with a lifetime warranty. |

Mussel Pot
-
Staub Mussel Pots are models of service and
preparation. A stainless steel strainer separates the mussels from the
sauce, making flavorful juices available for dipping from the first bite to
the last. The generous Family Mussel Pot
holds up to six
pounds of mussels. The smaller two-quart pot comes in a version without a
knob, so the lid can be used upside-down to hold empty shells. Made of cast
iron, with some pieces finished in rich shades of enameled ceramic.Unique to
Staub cast-iron lids are the self-basting spikes, small peaks jutting from
the underside that continuously redistribute juices as they collect during
the cooking process. Made in France with a lifetime warranty.
