The Espresso Dose offers the possibility to prepare
excellent espresso, creamy cappuccinos, tea, hot infusions - thanks to its
exclusive steam system. The Dosage button allows the machine to memorize
the preferred amount of coffee that goes for 1 or 2 cups of espresso. It
is fitted with a special filter that gives the possibility to use also the
coffee pods. The Gaggia Espresso Dose uses a Pannarello frothing device for easy
frothing and steaming. Its port filter fits in to a heat retaining
chrome-plated brass group head, and the stainless steel cup warmer is
heated with residual heat from the boiler for a great shot from start to
finish.
-
Temperature Control -
Gaggia Espresso machines use accurate thermostats to maintain stable,
proper, and consistent brewing temperature.
-
Pressure Accuracy - The
brewing pressure is regulated to maintain 9 bars of pressure, which is
the exact pressure used in commercial espresso machines.
-
Commercial Quality Brewing -
Every Gaggia has a full sized 58mm sized filter basket,
chrome-plated brass port filter and full size shower screens that are
identical in design and size as the commercial machines. The handle is
heavier than other home machines and retains heat well – a crucial part
of creating the perfect shot of espresso. Each machine comes with three
filter baskets: one for single shots, one for double shots, and one for
ESE pods so there’s no need to buy a converting kit or worry about
modifying your machine if you prefer ESE pods.
-
Stainless Steel Boiler -
The durable stainless steel boiler provides superior brewing and
steaming, and ensures consistent temperature for an ideal extraction.
-
Stainless Steel Passive Cup Warmer -
The cup warmer is heated with residual heat from the
boiler for a great shot from start to finish.
-
Removable Water Reservoir -
The water reservoir is easy to fill and clean. This
integrated 42 oz reservoir can be removed from the top and brought to
the sink for easy filling.
-
Pannarello Frothing Wand & Ball Joint -
Create cappuccinos, lattes, and more with this easy to
use frothing wand. Mounted on a ball joint, the consumer has complete
range to accommodate any size pitcher for creating café style drinks.
The unique design incorporates an air intake hole, allowing the user to
steam or foam milk by raising or lowering the frothing pitcher.

Baratza Maestro Grinder -
The Maestro Conical Burr Grinder is one of
the most eye pleasing grinders on the market, but the beauty isn’t skin
deep. Inside is the heart of a great grinder that can grind coffee beans
for any style of coffee, whether it is an espresso machine, drip coffee
maker, or press pot. The Maestro was originally introduced in 2001 with
lots of innovative features. In March 2007, the Maestro was upgraded to
include increased range of adjustment, an innovative calibration system, a
new powerful DC motor and other improvements.
The Maestro uses the same 40 mm conical
burrs it has always used. Conical burr grinders are exceptional at
producing consistent grinds from very fine to coarse.
There are many coffee grinders on the
market. However, few have the ability to grind fine enough for a
professional espresso machine and coarse enough for a press pot. The
upgraded Maestro has 40 steps of adjustment, up from 18 steps. Choose the
perfect setting by turning the bean hopper to the desired position.
Commercial grinders have a calibration
system to ensure that the grinder will grind fine enough for espresso and
has the range to grind coarse enough for a press pot. Now this feature is
available in a grinder designed for home use. The grinders are calibrated
when they are manufactured to ensure an accurate range of grind. If
necessary the grinders can be user calibrated.
A 240 watt DC motor is replacing the
current AC motor. The DC motor is twice as powerful as the current motor
and turns slowly resulting in cool, quiet operation and permits long
grinding duty-cycles. The circuitry is equipped with an automatically
resetting, thermal cutoff switch.
The Maestro uses a combination of gear
and electronic speed reducers to slow the spinning of the burr to 450
RPM. This slow speed reduces heat, noise, and static generation in the
grinder. It also ensures that the beans feed smoothly into the burrs.
The Maestro is equipped with a uniquely
designed On/Off switch. You may rotate the switch clockwise or counter
clockwise from any position without damaging it.
Additional features include:
-Slow rotation insures extremely low static electricity issues
-Special gear reduction for slow rotation, ensuring the retention of the
aroma and flavor of the freshly ground beans.
-Large 5 oz ground-coffee bin as well as the ability to grind directly
into espresso porta-filters and drip coffee filters
-8 oz. Bean capacity
-A rotating timer switch provides automatically repeatable coffee powder
dosing.
-A momentary push-button switch, prominent on the nose of the grinder,
allows for precise custom coffee powder dosing.
-Ground coffee drops vertically into the tightly fitting coffee bin,
insuring dust free operation.
-Bin area is large enough to accommodate even commercial sized port
filters for grinding directly into them, without the bin.
-Dimensions: 5W x 14H x 6D in
